Fabric Covered Bulletin Board DIY

IMG_0494-2

I once spray painted my bulletin board this odd blue color. I’ve never quite liked it since, so I decided it was time to make a change..

Supplies:

  • Bulletin Board
  • Enough Fabric to Cover plus two inches to wrap around to the back
  • Staple Gun (or a stapler that will open up enough that you can use it as a staple gun)

Begin by laying your fabric print side down. Place the bulletin board in the center. Pull the top edge of the fabric around the top and punch a staple in the center. Pull the bottom edge of the fabric taught and wrap around to the back and staple.

Pull the fabric on the right side over the edge and staple down. Pull the fabric on the left taught and staple down. Place one staple on each side of the staples you have already placed.

Pull the fabric from the corners and fold the fabric under. Pull them until taught and staple down. Repeat this in each corner.

Once the fabric is stapled on tight, start pinning up your inspirational photos, notes, quotes, and enjoy!

I love the final product here, Kayse! Looks great! I have been on the lookout for a used bulletin board to do a similar thing too. Also, did you design your new blog cover yourself? It looks very nice!
