I was taking engagement photos of a couple that is very dear to me one night this week, and after our shoot, we started discussing the use of essential oils. We talked about the use of lavender for relaxation and to help promote sleep. When I got home, I thought about making a blend of oils that all help with relaxation and after a little research, and a little bit of trusting my instincts, I came up with this blend. I made two bottles, one extra to send along with the engagement photos. The recipe here is the amount per small roll on bottle.
- 30 drops lavender essential oil
- 10 drops frankincense essential oil
- 15 drops bergamot essential oil
- 10 drops cedarwood essential oil
- 10 drops marjoram essential oil
- 2 drops patchouli essential oil
- carrier oil such as grape seed oil, almond oil, etc
- roll on bottles, I got mine here
Combine all oils in roll on bottle and fill remaining space with carrier oil. Pop roll top onto bottle and put on cap. Label with ingredients so you don’t forget. Roll a little on wrists or behind ears at bedtime and just breathe.
